It combines the special properties of a sintered activated carbon monoblock with the extremely fine particle filtration of a capillary membrane. The activated carbon block below, with a fineness of 16 µm, ensures the adsorption of many pollutants dissolved in the water and the pre-filtration of particles, while the microfiltration membrane on top of the activated carbon retains particles larger than 0.08 µm, including bacteria. and viruses (e.g. coronavirus size about 100 nanometers).

When do you change the Carbonit ILP Puro filter?

In accordance with DIN 1988, you should replace the Carbonit ILP Puro filter cartridge every 4 months. During this time, you can filter around 6,000 liters of water. If the water flow noticeably decreases, an earlier change may be necessary. In principle, you should also replace the flat seals of the ILP Clario filter cartridge every time you change it. This way, the system is always reliably sealed and can function as intended.
